Wheel Night

Picture
Learn to center and shape on the potter’s wheel! Participants will gain basic fundamentals of wheel work and a general understanding of the ceramic process, including firing and glazing. Each student will walk away having completed their very own wheel-thrown creation! No experience necessary - all materials included!

Glass Fusion

Picture
Try your hand at glass fusion with a Select Friday! Create a one-of-a kind fused glass art plate in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Learn the basics of glass fusion from cutting to layout of design, while exploring a variety of colored glass, stringers, and frit to embellish your creation.  No experience necessary. Materials and firing schedules included.  Please wear closed-toed shoes, comfortable clothes, and an apron, if you have one.

Enameled Jewelry

Picture
Learn how to make a colorful pendant and pair of earrings using fused glass on metal! Patterns will be developed through sifting and stenciling techniques, as well as sgraffito methods. In this workshop, we will build enameled surfaces on nonferrous metal to make a beautiful jewelry pieces.  No experience necessary!

Shibori

Picture
Learn the Japanese art of creating patterns by binding, stitching, folding, and twisting fabric during the dyeing process. Experiment on tea towels, or bring in items to dye.
