The Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery and School of Art facilities are ADA compliant, open and easily accessed by the public.

Both the Gallery and School have easily accessible parking with designated handicapped spaces near the doors. A ramp to our entrance is close by and our doors open wide. Wheelchairs navigate easily through the gallery and classrooms. Our gallery exhibition labeling and signage are ADA-compliant. Sign Language interpreters are available with advance notice. Moreover, educational opportunities are designed for individuals with special needs, including those with vision, physical and developmental disabilities.

First Saturday of every month, there is free Special Needs programming from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Gallery. These classes are always full. Students aged 16 to adult enjoy programming that offers both artistic and socialization opportunities.

We welcome all members of the public regardless of gender, race, color, national origin, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation or marital status.  The Lighthouse ArtCenter enthusiasts range from preschool to well into their 90s. This multi-generational mix offers a model for lifelong learning. It creates a sense of family and community, a welcoming atmosphere which encourages visitors to come back.

In addition to our on-site facilities, the Lighthouse ArtCenter teachers take art instruction and materials to individuals who would otherwise not be able to be here or have exposure to fine arts. Our outreach serves students with mental and physical disabilities, as well as those who are economically disadvantaged or elderly.
