The Breakers Hotel Tour, Palm Beach
Tuesday, February 4, 2020
Back by popular demand! Join your hostess Evelyne Bates for a historical tour of the Breakers Hotel. Open for more than 100 years, The Breakers is one of the landmarks of Palm Beach. Henry Flagler built The Palm Beach Inn in 1896. When Flagler expanded the hotel in 1901, he renamed it “The Breakers” because guests were requesting to stay in rooms “by the breakers.”
Check-in at the Lighthouse ArtCenter at 11 a.m. A chartered bus will leave the Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery at 11:30. The first stop is the Flagler Museum, where we will board a shuttle to be transported to the Breakers Hotel at 12:45 p.m. The tour at the Breakers begins at 1 p.m. Shuttle will return to Flagler Museum at 2 p.m. We will have a late lunch, on your own, at popular Too Jays restaurant in Palm Beach. We will return to Tequesta around 4 or 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $60 and includes the bus, shuttle from Flagler Museum, admission fee and tip for the driver. Payment is required at time of reservation. Sorry, no refunds.
