Arrived: Florida Artists Emerged

January 25 - February 24, 2018

This once in a lifetime exhibition features the original artwork of five Florida artists of international acclaim who bring awareness to the cultural, historic and environmental issues we all share. Their combined accolades include installations at both the North and South Poles, and in the hands of people on all seven continents. There has never been a more diverse nor more passionate group of multi-media artists shown together in Florida. Most of these collectible works will be available for purchase.

Xavier Cortada (Miami, FL)

Thought provoking and powerful, Cortada’s bold and brilliant use of color emphasizes climate change, extinctions, and his participatory art projects have involved citizens all over the world.

Sarah Crooks (Jacksonville, FL)

As an eco-feminist, Sarah Crooks creates multi-disciplinary installations that blend environmental science with expressive art.

Mary GrandPré (Sarasota, FL)

Illustrator of the American editions of the Harry Potter Novels, GrandPré’s fine art features the intuitive application of texture and color that balance abstraction and realism to create a new world, one that suggests the familiar, but leaves the door open.

Cheryl Maeder (West Palm Beach, FL)

Maeder’s fusion of unexpected perspectives and vivid colors create a dreamy tranquility in and around the water. The ethereal hazes in her exotic work leaves the viewer with a gentle lasting sense of wonder.

Margaret Ross Tolbert (Gainesville, FL)

The sensuous experience of Florida’s freshwater springs is translated through Margaret Tolbert and the large scale paintings she uses a mop to create. Her work quickens the imagination and inspires stewardship for these sparkling gems that are disappearing as a result of population growth.
