Art of Travel
July 12, 2007
Have brush or pen, will travel!
Before the camera, travelers had only brush and paint or pen and paper as tools to record their travel impressions. This exhibit offered the chance to meet Cheryl Blackerby, former Travel Editor, Palm Beach Post, and Brennan King, Staff Artist with the Palm Beach Post, who took this approach in their collaboration on a series of travel articles about Florida and the Bahamas.
Attendees enjoyed a lively discussion as these travel pros painted a unique and highly personal picture of each destination in watercolor and words. Brennan King’s art, as seen in the Palm Beach Post, was on exhibit.
