Norma Conway is a talented and well known fine artist, who specializes in portrait, landscape, and wildlife painting. Originally from Indiana, Norma began her art studies with the renowned Indianapolis artist Elmer Taflinger. She graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Norma painted portraits in Miami Beach, Coral Gables, and Fort Lauderdale before opening a studio in the Palm Beach Towers, where she painted portraits of the rich and famous during the Kennedy years. Her colorful representational landscape and wildlife paintings were also extremely popular with the Palm Beachers and was involved in the restoration of Mar-A-Lago. The Conway family moved to Jupiter Florida in 1965 and Norma became active in the fledgling Lighthouse Gallery in Tequesta. She was instrumental in the development of the Gallery and the Gallery’s School of Art.
