Eduardo Gomez was born in Colombia and moved to the USA as a young man. Gomez graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, with a BA in Economics where he later obtained an MSW. Later in life, he returned to art school at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock where he completed his post baccalaureate studies in sculpture and was admitted to the graduate school. Gomez also studied independently under various nationally recognized sculptors such as David Klass, Phillipe Faraut and Elden Teft.
Gomez has exhibited at various museums such as the Historic Arkansas Museum in Arkansas , The St Lucie County Historical Museum in Ft Pierce, the AE Backus Museum in Ft Pierce, Florida and the Elliot Museum in Stuart. Florida. He has also exhibited in national juried sculpture shows such as the Loveland Sculpture Invitational in Colorado. His public work is currently on display in Bogota, Colombia and locally at theLighthouse ArtCenter. Gomez ‘s studio is located in Jensen Beach where his sculptures range in size from small to monumental and he accepts public and private commissions.
